About the TGC

The Taylor Garden Club (TGC) was organized in 1949 and was federated in 1950. The TGC is a member of the National Council of State Garden Clubs and is located in the South-Central region of Texas, District V, Zone III. The Taylor Garden Club meets on the second Tuesday of each month, September through May. Meetings begin at 6:30 with a program and beverages followed by a light meal. A business meeting begins at 7:30 pm.

The Taylor Garden Club members take great pride in the City of Taylor, Texas by initiating, planning and completing beautification projects, recognizing local Yard of the Month (spring and fall), and hosting the annual Run for the Roses 5k/10k in January. The club also funds scholarships for local high school students. Drive by and check out our Memorial Garden in Bull Branch Park, the Murphy Park Entrance Raised Beds and Lou Belle Harris Pavilion in Murphy Park.
